Hiking through the forest this warm and sunny morning was like running into an old friend: Spring. The familiar face I didn’t see, is that of my Little Bear, the name I gave the sweet sow with whom I shared a back yard in the winter of 2020-2021. She emerged from her hibernation one year ago before heading off into the woods. I haven’t seen her since, but I’m on the lookout. I am grateful to Lakeridge Life Magazine for publishing my story of that glorious few months. (On a mobile device? Click the grey box to connect to the publication.)
